God made a blood covenant with all mankind; to make it possible for men to have a relationship with God and be free from sin. The blood covenant is the most powerful contract ever. It is a “blood contract” that can never be broken. God bound himself to us through this blood covenant. That means He must fulfill all the provisions of the contract which He spelled out in the Bible. Forgiveness of our sins, salvation, healing, protection, prosperity, peace, joy and more. And what does he require of us? Faith, trust, our love. This is a very one-sided contract with all the amazing benefits going to us. What a generous God we serve.
God subjected himself through Jesus to the most brutal treatment in horrific death by crucifixion, to pay for our sins and wrongdoing. Jesus basically said “take me instead of them”, I will pay the price for their sin. Also, it was a price we do not have the ability to pay. Impossible to pay! All he asks is we believe in what he did for us and repent of our sins. That is the measure of faith he has given to all men, to believe in Him. Then faith grows through the word of God. Faith is our positive response to what the Lord has already done for us. For anyone to say “I don’t believe in Jesus” is to be totally ignorant of the facts and to reject God’s personal sacrifice of his own blood on our behalf. That person has justly condemned themselves to eternal torment. God did everything he could to keep us out of Hell. He doesn’t want anybody to go there; but if we reject his plan for salvation then who is the blame?
How foolish does this sound? Someone comes to you and offers to give you everlasting life in a paradise you can’t even imagine and all you have to do is say “Yes I except it, I’ll take it. I BELIEVE”! But you say “I don’t know, I’m not sure I like that plan, I don’t know if I really want to believe”. REALLY?!!!
It’s hard to believe that if anybody knew the facts that they could choose to reject God’s offer of eternal paradise and condemn themselves to eternal Hell. Many are very mistaken in thinking that because they don’t believe something that it has no bearing on them. The problem is when it comes to what God says – no one is exempt, whether you believe it or not it totally affects you.
To really understand the essence and nature of a blood covenant I recommend reading the booklet by E. W. Kenyon, The Blood Covenant. Very powerful, and enlightening.
